Economic Inequality and the American Dream

What I’ve Learned

I think most people in this class can agree that its unlike anything we’ve ever taken before or are taking now. The class was much more relaxed then others and that took a while to get used to. While it may of been relaxed that does not mean we did not learn anything or do a lot of work. I actually found that I had more work for this class than most of my others combined.

The most critical parts of economic inequality that I took away from this course is that inequality can never be 100% solved and to have a properly working economy there does need to be inequality. However with that said, there is still a larger gap today then there has ever been in the past. This needs to be fixed but the question is how? Do we start over or do we take money from the rich and give it to the poor, like Robin Hood? While these questions may never be answered, with this class it gave the 15 students the knowledge to start a platform to put an end to economic inequality.
